3 years of Firefox theme development

Yup last Thursday January 12th I celebrated 3 years of Firefox theme development. I would like to thank you users of all the support throughout these 3 years, the amo editors, those of you who donated and those who downloaded and tried my themes. I have ten themes, 523 288 users and 8 385 077 total theme downloads which in my opinion is a pretty good result.

Firefox 9 is out - review! Merry Christmas and Happy new year!

Yup Mozilla keeps releasing new versions of Firefox every 6 weeks. This month Firefox 9 came out. Like I wrote in one of my previous posts I don't use the final releases and today updated to Firefox 10 beta.

So enough with what I use. Lets talk about what is new in Firefox 9 and why should you try it. It's 30% FASTER than Firefox 8 or at least that is the information all over the internet. Everyone says that Mozilla has improved the JavaScript page rendering by 30% which is a good thing. A lot of websites use tons and tons of Javascript code so in my opinion this is definitely a step forward. Again there is nothing new in terms of design and my Firefox themes are compatible with Firefox 10 beta even so it's ok to use them. :)

Finally I want to wish Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all my users, especially those of you who donated. Sure there's not much money but it's something. It's been a good year for my Firefox themes - design improvements, sub-skins, Firefox 4-5-6-7-8-9-10 support and not many bug reports. Thanks for using my themes. Best of luck and happy holidays! :)

I haven't talked much about this but thanks for making small donations for my themes.It means a lot to me.Not many people have donated by far but thanks for appreciating what I've done with my themes.I've put a lot of hours in developing these themes and it's not easy to support them.For example I've put I've put 5 months in making all my themes compatible with Firefox 4 and above.Big thanks to all of you who donated.I won't mention names but those who donated should have received a thank you email.
Like I said donations are not that much.For example if all 3200 users who downloaded Blue Fox yesterday donate a dollar it'd be enough for me to invest the money in new equipment (PC) because this one is 6 year old and it runs really really slow.Sometimes it's a pain in the a** but for now I can't do anything about it.I don't have the money to buy a new one and hopefully some day I'll be able to buy with the donated money.
Education is another thing I'd like to invest but we'll see how much I'll earn in the future.Again thanks for donating and using my themes.It's been an awesome two and a half year experience.I'll try to keep them updated for latest versions of Firefox.
